Tokyo 2020

Skateboarding, surfing and climbing are among five new sports confirmed for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Karate and baseball/softball have also been added by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

The five extra sports, which do not replace any of the 28 already on the Tokyo schedule, will include 18 events and involve hundreds of athletes.

The rowing events were chaotic.

The women won bronze in the quad sculls after the German boat stopped dead with about 200m to go. The men won bronze in the same event.

While we were busy winning the men's four, GB veered out of their lane and almost took out Italy.

6 gold, 1 silver, 9 bronze. Silvers are for schmucks anyway.

Could be worse: Italy has 1 gold, 6 silver and 8 bronze

With the sailing golf now officially added to the tally that's the first time Australia has gotten 4 gold in one day

Just learned they won't be able to defend their title in Paris as the 470 is becoming a mixed gender class like the Nacra.
